Rock The Laundry and the Vote
Happy New Year, everyone! Excuse me? How did I spend my New Year's Eve, you ask? Watching my child hood hero, Fred Penner, live in concert! He was like, "Everyone sing along to this next one...A - B - C - D - E - F - G..." and I was like, "Ahhhh!! I know this one!!! Woo!! H - I - J - K - LMNOP!"
I'm folding mass loads of laundry right now. I haven't done laundry in a month or more plus my dad's coming to visit tomorrow so I need clean towels and fresh sheets and maybe some Lysol in the kitchen so I seem like a responsible spawn he can be proud to visit. That being said I'll need to make this rather short tonight.
I was just watching the news and catching up on all the political candidates and it reminded me to remind you all that no matter what your views make sure you vote this year. Don't even give me that "I don't know who to vote for thing." Voting for anyone is better then voting for no one 'cause more important then your decision is the information you're giving Washington by casting a ballot. Most of you who are reading this are under 25 and in the past, issues haven't necessarily been directed our way in debates or forums because our numbers weren't as strong in the polls. So, make sure they know you're out there. Make sure they know someone of your age, race, and background matter! iTunes has tons of free pod casts from every view you can imagine and some, like ABC's "Who Is?", give you a general overview of everyone. I'm still trying to learn everything I can about each candidate as well so if you all hear about something interesting regarding one of them go ahead and post it. We're all trying to gather as much information as we can to best cast our votes.
Have a great 1/08. I'm off to inside out my socks...
